Story
Hi! I’m Simran, the creator of Right Bin Right Now, a recycling education awareness program.
I started this project after realizing how confusing recycling can actually be. Even people who care about the environment (including me) aren’t always sure what goes where and that confusion leads to a lot of contamination. When the wrong items end up in recycling or compost, entire batches can get thrown out, which defeats the whole purpose.
My interest in environmental issues really grew through my time in conservation programs and my own research into pollution and sustainability. I kept seeing the same problem come up: people want to do the right thing, but they don’t have clear, accessible information to help them do it.
That’s why I created Right Bin Right Now, to make waste sorting simpler, clearer, and actually doable in everyday life. Whether it’s through guides, tools, or interactive features, my goal is to help people feel confident about their choices and make a real impact, one item at a time.
